Transportation Alternatives
GO Buffalo Niagara is a collaboration of stakeholders that are committed to providing our community with better transportation choices. We help residents and employees choose travel options that are better for their bank accounts, their health and the environment. We’ll work directly with you to figure out the best way to get you to your destination, and we’ll work with your organization to create a more sustainable commuting system for your employees, students or tenants.
GO Buffalo-Niagara is managed by GObike Buffalo and powered by 511NY Rideshare, a program of the New York State Department of Transportation. GO Buffalo Niagara is a close partner of the Greater Buffalo Niagara Regional Transportation Council (GBNRTC), the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus (BNMC, Inc.), the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA) and others.
Carpool
GO Buffalo Niagara works with 511NY to bring you an online carpool matching system. Use the system to find other travelers nearby who want to share a ride to work. Just fill in your commute information and preferences, and the system will tell you when a possible match is found. From there, you can send them a message to jump-start the conversation. It’s easy!
ZIPCAR
Zipcar has carsharing locations at the University at Buffalo North and South Campuses and various locations within the City of Buffalo. Zipcar offers memberships for individuals, businesses and universities.
