Kerry Spicer is a true believer in the value of the collegiate experience. A native Western New Yorker with 15 years experience in Student Affairs at both public and private institutions, Kerry has a passion for education and a dedicated work ethic. She always strives to use her role to enhance the student experience and strengthen the communities around her. She is a wife, the mother of two fantastic kids, and an exercise enthusiast. She has run Utica, NYs Boilermaker 15k three times, and it is her hope to complete a half-marathon one day.
A recent winner of the Edward S. Beanie Drake ACUI Founders Award and the Christine A. Chergi ACUI Region VII Award, she is a champion of the student experience on a college campus. Students are a true joy and inspiration to her, and the driving force behind Kerrys energy and enthusiasm. Kerry is certified as a Safe Zone Trainer as well as a Nonviolence and Conflict Reconciliation Trainer. She has served as a leader in the discussion around student activism on the college campus as a faculty member for ACUIs Student Organizations Institute. Her presentations have focused on the establishment of an Emergency Response Team and working together with campus stakeholders.
Kerry Spicer holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology and Womens Studies from SUNY Fredonia and a graduate degree in Student Personnel Administration (HESAA) from Buffalo State College. Kerry is currently serving as the Recognition Coordinator for ACUIs Region VII and a team lead for the ACUI Volunteer Development Team. She resides in Williamsville with her family, her 17-year-old cat Henri and her part-time dog Molly.

Orientation and Leadership Development
Kim Pagano currently serves as the Assistant Dean for Student Engagement. In that capacity, she provides oversight and direction to the new student & parent orientation programs, as well as LEADS, a student leadership development program created under her vision, in leadership. Ms. Pagano also oversees Career Services and Student Activities, which includes: student organizations, Greek life, student transition and programming. During her 25 years in higher education, Ms. Pagano has served in various leadership roles at 蹤獲扦 College, beginning with her work in the office of enrollment management and into her current role in student affairs. A former recipient of the 蹤獲扦 College Outstanding Administrator Award, Ms. Pagano serves as associate faculty in 蹤獲扦s Master of Science in Executive Leadership and Change program, teaching organizational leadership and self-development. In 2015, the Association for Student Affairs Professionals in Higher Education (NASPA) presented her with the Region II Outstanding Contribution to Student Leadership Programs Award. NASPA annually recognizes individuals who have made significant and outstanding contributions to their campus, student affairs, and the field of higher education.
Ms. Pagano holds a Master of Science in Executive Leadership and Change from 蹤獲扦 College and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from Canisius College. Prior to her work at 蹤獲扦 College, Ms. Pagano was the public relations director for the Herschell Carrousel Museum.
Assistant Dean for Campus Safety & Operations
Mead-Colegrove comes to 蹤獲扦 from BMCSPEAKS LLC, a consulting company, where he presented to various groups on topics such as leadership, bias management, problem solving, and conflict resolution. Prior to BMCSPEAKS, Mead-Colegrove served as Director of Orientation and New Student Programs at Buffalo State. At Buffalo State, he was responsible for working collaboratively with a wide range of campus stakeholders in designing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the undergraduate student orientation programs. Most notably, Mead-Colegrove transformed the fall orientation program into a week of welcome serving 2,000+ students. In addition, Mead-Colegrove is also a member of the FBI Buffalo Citizens Alumni Academy.
Before joining Buffalo State, Mead-Colegrove held positions as assistant and associate director of campus life at SUNY Fredonia, where he created SUNY's first interdisciplinary minor in leadership studies. Before his work at SUNY Fredonia, he worked in residence life at Michigan State and West Virginia University.
Mead-Colegrove earned his master of education in college counseling and college student personnel from the University at Buffalo and bachelor of science in mathematics education from SUNY Fredonia.
Student Activities
Heather Maclin is the new Director of Student Activities and oversees the Office of Student Activities providing direction, training, and support for student clubs and organizations, as well as, acting as the advisor to SGA and IGA. Ms. Maclin comes to 蹤獲扦 with extensive experience in student activities, event planning, contract negotiation, community building, and small group facilitation. Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, she obtained her M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Ms.Maclin is the former Assistant Director of Wilson Commons Student Activities at the University of Rochester.
Career Services
Mr.LamarkShaw is the Director of Career Services and an adjunct professor who teachesCFE101at蹤獲扦. Mr. Shaw also is the Sales Manager/Buyer for United Mens Fashion in Buffalo, New York. He has a BS in Design from Buffalo State College, MS in Organizational Leadership fromMedailleCollege and an Entrepreneurial Leadership Certificate from the University of Buffalo.Mr. Shaw is currently working on his Ph.D. in Organization and Management atCapellaUniversity.
Housing & Residence Life
After working as the Director of Housing & Residence Life, Emilee was promoted to Assistant Dean for Auxiliary Services. Emilee previously worked at the University of Pittsburg Bradford where she served in various leadership capacities within residence life for the past 6 years, most recently as the Director of Orientation. She has a diverse background and has served at both small and large, public and private institutions. Holding degrees from Medaille College in Psychology and a Masters degree from the University at Buffalo in Higher Education Administration, Emilee is also a Green Dot-Certified Trainer, has taught several first-year seminars, and is a trained conduct officer. Emilee is pleased to be back in her native Western New York, and working at 蹤獲扦.
Campus Safety
Doug brings to蹤獲扦a wide range of experience in the security field including private investigations, loss prevention, security management, and as a previousPublic Safety Officer atMedailleCollege. Doug has extensive experience in law enforcement, serving for many years as a Police Officer for the City of Durham, North Carolina. During his Law Enforcement career, he worked in criminal investigations, was a member of the Tactical Team and also a Bike Patrol Officer. Additionally, Doug spent 2 years in Afghanistan as part of a State Department contract working as a trainer/adviser with the Afghan National Police.
Doug graduated from Buffalo State College with Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice.
Conference Services
Lauren Vohwinkel currently serves as the Director of Conference Services. In her role, she oversees the day-to-day operations of internal and external events on campus .She brings to the team more than 8 years of eventmanagement,marketing, and non-profit organization eventplanning. Her work in event planning led her to higher education and planning both small and large campus-wide events. Lauren is dedicated to creating memorable and seamless guest experiences.
Lauren holds a bachelor's degree in Public Relations and Advertising, and a master's degree in Higher Education Administration and Student Affairs Administration from SUNY Buffalo State University. She is excited to be part of the 蹤獲扦 community and build partnerships with external clients.
Community Standards & Student Advocacy
Formerly, a supervisor with Campus Safety, Miguel brings to the College a 6-year career in safety and security with an educational foundation in Criminal Justice and Security Management from Buffalo State College, finishing with a Master of Science at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Originally from New York City, Miguel has worked at New York Presbyterian Hospital, Kaleida Health, and now with 蹤獲扦. Mr. Rodriguez brings significantly valuable educational and practical experience to the Director role. He is a published writer and educator and is certified in Basic Life Support and Management of Aggressive Behavior.
Health Services
Arianna Coppola is a graduate of 蹤獲扦, receiving a bachelors and masters degree in Social Work. Arianna is a Licensed Master Social Worker, she brings to the University a background in mental health education and awareness. Before being promoted to the Director of the CHIP Center, Arianna was formerly a Career Advisor at the University. Arianna is dedicated to providing a welcoming environment for the 蹤獲扦 community while promoting health and wellness.
Stephanie has been offering counseling services to students as well as serving as the assistant director and clinical coordinator for the CHIP Center. Before working at 蹤獲扦, Stephanie attended Canisius College in Buffalo and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with minors in clinical/counseling psychology, school psychology, and classical studies. She then continued her education at the University at Buffalo obtaining her Master of Science degree in mental health counseling. She earned her licensure as a mental health counselor in NYS and has completed training through the Trauma Institute and Child Trauma Institute. Stephanie worked for over five years as a therapist at an outpatient mental health clinic.
