MS Inclusive Childhood Education Programs
45 Credits - 18 Months
For those who do not have initial New York State teaching certification.
- Graduates gain both initial and professional certification in childhood education/students with disabilities grades 1-6. This program is ideal for those seeking to change careers.Â
- Courses are offered online, with one synchronous evening a week.
- Students complete 150 hours of field experience and a two 7 week full-time student teaching placement.
- The program can be completed in as little as 18 months with an intensive fall start, or in two years with a standard spring start.
- Students may transfer up to 6 credits of introductory coursework in instructional design and special education.
- Students with a ÂÜÀòÉç educational studies minor qualify for a 6-credit prerequisite waiver.

30 Credits - 12 Months
For teachers who hold initial certification in childhood education/students with disabilities grades 1-6 and seek professional certification in the same area.
- Graduates gain professional certification in childhood education/students with disabilities grades 1-6.Â
- Courses are offered online, with one synchronous evening a week.
- The program can be completed in as little as 12 months with an intensive fall start, or in 17 months with a standard spring start.
- Courses focus on critical issues and intensive intervention, while undergraduate programs focus on universal teaching strategies.Â

33 Credits - 12 Months
For those who hold New York State initial teaching certification in a different area.
- Graduates gain initial and professional certification in childhood education/students with disabilities grades 1-6.Â
- Courses are offered online, with one synchronous evening a week.
- The program includes 50 hours of field experience, and abbreviated student teaching that can take place during the summer. Â
- The program can be completed in as little as 12 months with an intensive fall start, or in 17 months with a standard spring start.

Pursuant to §52.21 of the regulations of the Commissioner of Education, the educator preparation programs offered by ÂÜÀòÉç College are considered to be continuously accredited for purposes of meeting the New York State requirement that all such programs maintain continuous accreditation. We are also pursuing accreditation through the Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation (AAQEP).

Learning through Video Analysis
Students use the video analysis tool, , to reflect, gather feedback, and evaluate their teaching performance. When they enter the field, they record themselves teaching. This guides debrief sessions with their supervisors to help identify areas for growth and improvement.

Thirty percent tuition scholarship awarded to accepted education students with a GPA of 2.7 or above.

Program Specifics
Submit an application to the graduate admissions office for evaluation based on the below.
- Provide official transcript(s) from all accredited colleges or universities attended indicating the award of an undergraduate degree.
- Upon acceptance possess a cumulative undergraduate grade-point-average of 3.00 or above (on a 4.00 scale). Note: Applicants with a GPA below 3.0 may still be considered upon additional review.
- Submit a personal statement (up to 300 words) discussing your background and why you want to enroll into the specific graduate program.
- Provide a copy of a current resume, including all certifications and licensures.
- Provide two letters of recommendation.
- Participate in a personal dispositional interview.
ÂÜÀòÉç's fully online MS in Inclusive Childhood Education program is open to students from Canada. Graduates gain both initial and professional certification in childhood education/students with disabilities (Grades 1-6).
Graduate Merit Scholarship
Thirty percent off the graduate per credit hour tuition rate is awarded to accepted education students who have earned an undergraduate GPA of 2.7 or above.
Graduate Alumni Scholarship
Forty percent off the graduate per credit hour tuition rate is awarded to accepted education students who are alumni of ÂÜÀòÉç.Â
Americorps Matching Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to accepted education students who have completed an Americorps service commitment. ÂÜÀòÉç will match 100 percent of the Segal Americorps Education Award or provide a 30 percent tuition scholarship for Americorps alumni enrolling in our education program.
