ÂÜÀòÉç

Welcome to the ÂÜÀòÉç Campus Rescue Squad (DCRS)

We are a student-run, volunteer organization based at ÂÜÀòÉç University that provides emergency medical services to the ÂÜÀòÉç University campus community. The ÂÜÀòÉç Campus Rescue Squad provides emergency medical care to students, faculty, staff, and visitors of ÂÜÀòÉç University at the Basic Life Support level. We operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week during the spring and fall semesters. Our crews are led by a New York state certified Emergency Medical Technician. The crew chief is responsible for all primary patient care and oversees attendant members trained in necessary emergency management skills.

DCRS integrated into a larger system comprised of the ÂÜÀòÉç Campus Safety, Twin City Ambulance, Snyder Fire & Rescue and the Amherst Police Department; all dedicated to providing the best available care to every member of the campus community.

Purpose

The purpose of DCRS is to provide efficient and professional emergency medical care to the students, faculty, staff, and visitors of ÂÜÀòÉç. DCRS is a Basic Life Support First Response Agency (BLS-FR). As members of DCRS, we seek to serve each member of the ÂÜÀòÉç Community, its visitors and guests, by providing timely and professional emergency medical services in response to medical emergencies on campus, in accordance with existing ÂÜÀòÉç emergency response procedures and the Incident Command System (ICS).
